 Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planning

Continuity Of OPerations planning is an effort within individual organizations (e.g. business or government departments and agencies) to ensure that essential functions continue to be performed during a wide range of emergencies, including:

  • Localized acts of nature;
  • Accidents;
  • Technical or attack-related emergencies.
Simply put, COOP is documentation of the people, places, and things needed to ensure your critical functions can continue to operate after an emergency.
