Soldier and Family Readiness Specialists

The Kansas National Guard Soldier and Family Readiness Program promotes understanding between Guardsmen, their support network and their National Guard Leadership. This program will encourage family partnerships within the unit, foster a sense of well-being, build self-reliance and strengthen the sense of community with shared benefits and responsibilities.

Soldier and Family Readiness Groups (SFRGs) are a Commander’s program and an official extension of the Command.  The Commanders will utilize appointed SFRG Volunteers as a conduit for information, referral and support during the deployment cycle.

Mission

Enhance Military effectiveness through a coordination of programs and services that assist Service members and Family members before, during, and after deployment. To build Soldier and Family self-reliance through training and resource awareness.
