69th Troop Command
Mission: Command, control and supervise Army National Guard units attached to Troop Command to provide trained and equipped units capable of immediate expansion to war strength and available for service in time of war or national emergency or, when appropriate, to augment the active Army. It also prepares for the mobilization of attached Army National Guard units in support of U.S. Army Forces Command, U.S. Northern Command and Continental United States Army Reserve Component mobilization plans.
Command Leadership and Unit Structure
The commander is Col. Erica Christie.
The senior noncommissioned officer is Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher Hargis.

- 1979th Contingency Contract Team, Topeka

- KSARNG Medical Detachment, Lenexa and Wichita
- 105th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment, Topeka
- 2nd Battalion, 641st Aviation, Topeka
Recent Unit Highlights
Throughout the year, Soldiers from the 69th Troop Command supported adjacent and subordinate unit training, such as the Officer Candidate School Phase I training in Salina.
The headquarters supported COVID-19 vaccination missions to increase medical readiness throughout the Kansas National Guard. The headquarters also continued their work with of the STARBASE Program at various facilities.
The 35th Infantry Division Band played more than 35 performances, telling the story of the Kansas National Guard through music and prose to more than 25,000 people. These events included multiple change of command ceremonies, parades, and community outreach events across the state and the National Guard Hall of Fame ceremony in Topeka. The unit also conducted sustainment training while executing all required missions for the 56th Army Band at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. There they provided music for a change of command ceremony, parade, and community outreach events.
The 69th Troop Command welcomed back the 37th Operational Support Airlift Detachment from deployment for of Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve. While deployed, they assisted coalition forces with movement of personnel and equipment throughout the Central Command theatre of operations.
The 105th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment Soldiers created print, photography and videos highlighting Citizen-Soldiers from the Kansas Army National Guard in their local communities and taking part in training throughout the state and nation. They also provided public affairs support for African Lion 22, a joint multidomain, component and national exercise in Tunisia, Africa, designed to strengthen the interoperability among participants.
The 1979th Contracting Team completed a two-week collective training with the U.S. Navy Central Command Headquarters in Italy, achieving certifications in joint operations contracting in preparation for their upcoming deployment in support of Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa within the Central Command area of operations.
