Training

The mission of the Training Section of Kansas Division of Emergency Management is to facilitate and deliver quality training experiences to partners and stakeholders providing service to the public in an all-hazards environment, utilizing instructors who possess subject matter expertise and a passion for serving those who serve others.

Training is available at no cost to personnel in the emergency management, fire department, law enforcement, emergency medical services, public officials, public works, school personnel, public health and medical, disaster volunteer organizations, business and industry personnel, and others involved in the Local and State Emergency Management system.

KDEM Training Announcements are released on the 1st and 15th of every month. To be added to our distribution list, send your contact information to our Training Office, or visit our Training and Exercise Calendar . This mailing list is not shared with outside parties, and communications are strictly limited to training opportunities.

Requesting Courses:  All requests for training courses must be submitted and/or approved by the County Emergency Manager. Emergency Managers can submit the Course Request Application to our Training team
