Description
This position will be required to work flexible rotating shifts. Shifts will vary and could be 1st (7:30am-4pm), 2nd (3:30pm-Midnight), 3rd (11:30pm- 8am), or a combination of any of these. Apprentices need to be open to working all three shifts upon completion of the program. Overtime participation will be expected.
Summary:
Those selected for Hallmark’s Maintenance Apprenticeship program will work with mentors in their facility’s maintenance department to learn how to operate, troubleshoot, repair, and do preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment. The maintenance apprentice will learn to work on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC driven equipment. Apprentices will also learn how to order parts and track their labor time spent on a problem. In addition to hands on learning, maintenance apprentices will attend classes at Peaslee Technical Training Center in Lawrence, KS. Apprentices will be paid for time in class, and class times will vary, based on a rotating schedule.
