ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Safely and properly pull and set tools
- Maintain knowledge and safe operation of various brands of machines: Engel, Husky and Arburg
- Difference in series and parallel timers
- Understanding differences in control panels.
- Know and implement proper watering of tools.
- Properly route and set up of thermolators.
- Proper hook-up and temperature settings of various electrical heater box controllers.
- Know and implement OSHA Lock-out/Tag-out procedures.
- Know and implement procedures for setting a mold up for process control.
- Perform troubleshooting.
- Maintain familiarity with various molds and how they work.
- Maintain familiarity with various Resins used.
- Accurately track downtime and record on the P Report using MIU.
- Complete P-Reports accurately.
- Checks accuracy/correctness of MIU settings- ie. Out of spec conditions etc.
- Maintains cleanliness of assigned areas, especially machine tie bars, conveyors, oil pans, and oil spills.
- Completely cleans each molding machine and peripheral equipment including maintenance activities to grinders and separators.
- Move approved material to weigh-up activities, accurately completes necessary documentation, and moves product to appropriate storage location.
- Assists Process Technician with mold sets/pulls as required
- Maintains part collection systems in process to ensure maximum part collection, minimizing scrap
- Restarts, purges and shuts down machines as assigned as needed.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of material moved or handled on daily production sheet as needed.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers
- Operates industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Perform duties of a Molding Associate as necessary.
- Participates in training activities (Aroutis, Seminars, etc.)
